Maintenance Free Bearings




Application:
D-glide bushings in the ladder sheaves and swivel construction and on the under-water
sheaves of the suction tube. Because of their location it is difficult to get lubrication to
these positions and because of environment (sandy, salty and wet) it is difficult to keep
anything rapidly from deterioraing. After repeated failure of the seals, bronze bushings
and roller bearings used in these positions they were replaced by D-glide washers and
bushings (with incorporated seals). Since these were installed no bearing has failed.
